Dear RCSD Community,
I hope everyone had a restful and enjoyable spring recess. It seems that while we were on break, spring actually showed up. We are now into the fourth and final quarter of the school year, also known as “busy season.” Last night was the Senior Arts Awards, which kicked off our senior class celebrations. It was also the Rye Youth Council’s Spring Soiree. I was incredibly flattered to be the honoree, but in my opinion, the true honors should go to my colleagues in our five schools who spend every day working to make sure our students are supported so they can be their best socially and emotionally.
Dear RCSD Community,
So much cold and rain! Let’s hope it brings some of those May flowers, stat. In the meantime, the weather has been causing a lot of disruption. The Midland playground ribbon cutting had to be moved from Monday to Wednesday this week. Lots of sports practices and games have been affected. We were able to get the sod delivered to the newly-renovated High School/Middle School softball field in between downpours. I don’t know about you, but I feel like March and April were a bit of a slog this year - literally as well as figuratively!
Dear RCSD Community,
Here we are in April, which is certainly bringing us a lot of showers! Believe it or not, we are finishing up the third quarter of the 2024-2025 school year. That happened fast! We are at work on the End-of-Year calendars so you can keep track of all the doings at every level. We usually get those out to families in May.
